Are these programs safe?
Why should I trust the software on this site?
SoftPedia has reviewed both Filecats Standard and Filecats Professional, and has stated that they are “100% Clean”.
You can see that this is still the case by going to the Filecats Standard review or Filecats Professional review, and click on the “100% Clean” logo on the SoftPedia website.
But is it still a current award? If you did click on it, it will give the date of the latest review, and say:
“SoftPedia guarantees that Filecats Standard and Filecats Professional is 100% Clean, whcih means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.
This software product was testing thoroughly and was found absolutely clean; therefore, it can be installed with no concern by any computer user. However, it should be noted that this product will be retested periodically and the award may be withdrawn, so you should check back occasionally and pay attention to the date of testing shown above.”
Therefore, you can download from this website with confidence.
Virus checks
Unfortauntely, some anti-virus programs give false positives about these programs. This appears to be a problem with those programs. Norton Internet Security states that these are safe.
However, these programs have been run through Norton Internet Security and an online anti-virus scanner which has checked these programs against 42 different scanners, and there is no indication of virus. Here’s the reports:
